DIH\u00b2\u00a0is\u00a0a\u00a0network\u00a0of\u00a026\u00a0DIHs\u00a0(digital\u00a0innovation\u00a0hubs),\u00a0with\u00a0a\u00a0target\u00a0to\u00a0reach\u00a0over\u00a0170\u00a0DIHs.\u00a0 The\u00a0 sole\u00a0 aim\u00a0 of\u00a0 the\u00a0 network\u00a0 is\u00a0 to\u00a0 spark\u00a0 incremental\u00a0 (cut\u00a0 50%\u00a0 cost\u00a0 of\u00a0 advance\u00a0 robotics\u00a0 solutions,\u00a0 double\u00a0 the\u00a0 growth\u00a0 of\u00a0 robotics\u00a0 market)\u00a0 and\u00a0 disruptive\u00a0 (maximum\u00a0productivity\u00a0&\u00a0optimum agility) innovations in over 300,000 Manufacturing SMEs and Mid-Caps. The sole aim of the network is to spark incremental (cut 50% cost of advance robotics solutions, double the growth of robotics market) and disruptive (maximum productivity & optimum agility) innovations in over 300,000 Manufacturing SMEs and Mid-Caps. It will support SMEs in their Agile Production challenge (50% increase in productivity) and unleash their digitalization potential by enabling robot solutions that are more cost effective at lower lot sizes.<\/p>\n Among its activities, DIH\u00b2 will manage two Open Calls in order to select a final total of 26 experiments in order to promote technology transfer to SMEs<\/p>\n Open Call. 1st Stage\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n 260 beneficiaries are expected to be selected in the 1st-stage of the DIH\u00b2 Open Calls. The critical issues at this stage are the standardisation <\/strong>potentiality of the requested solutions\/experiments and the cross-industry approach<\/strong> where the potential of generating new businesses based around platform supply business models can be envisaged.<\/p>\n \u00a0The selected Projects will then benefit from the Agility Audit<\/strong> service. The Audits will have 4 main focuses: 1. SME’s agility needs (product variants, batch size, skill demand, etc.); 2. Effect on productivity to meet these production demand; 3. Robotics and additional technologies needed for Agile Production; and 4. The identification of business practices and tools in DIH2<\/sup> network, to bring the recognized capabilities for the SME.<\/p>\n Additionally, a Voucher <\/strong>will be offered in TTEs\u2019 request. The \u2018TiR Coordinator\u2019, together with the partners of reference in coordinating the services in those domains will support the TTE in finding the most suitable provider according with its needs.<\/p>\n This pool of mentors will act as a kind of Advisory Board <\/strong>for the TTEs. They will be coordinated at the beginning of the Program, will undertake the follow up of the experiments, throughout the 10-months Program and act as the Mentoring Committee<\/strong>.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n DIH\u00b2 will contribute to increase the efficiency on the robotics industry, at the same time that will support SMEs\u00a0and develop education programs in the robotics field.
