The first Open Call of EUROBENCH received 53 proposals submitted by more than 100 participants from 15 different countries in Europe and beyond.

The proposals submitted were called to apply to one of the following options:

  • Option 1: develop a benchmarking solution for one specific benchmarking scenario including one or more outcomes: testbed, software routines and/or experimental datasets.
  • Option 2: propose a benchmarking device, composed of sensors and/or actuators, that can be applied indistinctly to different benchmarking scenarios.

The projects submitted demonstrated a deep collaboration among entities from different countries, having the 65% of the proposals more than one participant. 55% of the proposals applied for only one scenario (OPTION 1), whereas 45% proposed the development of benchmarking solutions spanning several scenarios (OPTION 2).
