INBOTS project participated at the Maker Faire Rome – The European Edition -, the three-day European event dedicated to technological innovation that took place at the Rome Fair on 18-20 October. Over 600 projects were presented during the event: from applications of artificial intelligence to robotics to the latest news in the food and agritech sector.
INBOTS Project booth was in the “Discover” pavillon (n. 7), with University of Siena group. INBOTS researchers from the University of Siena had the opportunity to interact with a lot of people, presenting project aims, pillars and initiatives.
Researchers from the University of Siena group involved in INBOTS project also attended the first edition of the I-RIM conference, organized within Maker Faire, by presenting their research results in interactive sessions, by organising a workshop on wearable technologies and by showing their demos in the exhibition area. This was another opportunity to disseminate INBOTS activities. I-RIM, the Institute for Robotics and Intelligent Machines, has been founded in 2019 and aims to favor the development and practice of Robotics and Intelligent Machines technologies to improve citizens’ quality of life and well-being and enhance society conditions.
The Maker Faire Rome registered over 100 thousand total attendees. Great participation of the youngest was recorded: over 28,000 students took part in the Educational Day on Friday. This fair is being considered an essential meeting platform between science, academy, large and small businesses, entrepreneurs, professionals, as well as technology enthusiasts, families and students.
